"What do you want from me?"

(Yep, that's a quote from my favorite singer, one Mr. Adam Lambert!  I listen to his entire playlist (over 7 hours) almost every day.  Such a talent this man is with a multi-octave range and crystal clear vocals, and he is even better in person than on tape.  I am one very proud Glambert!)

Okay, down to business.  Starting with the kit I am currently designing, I am doing a series of music kits (thus the quote above, tee hee!), beginning with classical music. However, I am planning on doing all genres and time periods.  The next one will be a lullabies/children's music kit, as it was requested.  I also can't wait to do a 50's kit, poodle skirt and all!  LOL  What I'm asking of you is to leave me, in the comments, what genres and/or time periods you would like to see first.  I will entertain and/all suggestions.

Do, please, let me know your wishes.

Also, I'm still looking for a couple gals to join Patti and Chitra on my creative team, The Flight Crew.  If you are interested, send me an email to wingedheartohio@gmail.com and put Flight Crew in the heading.  You don't need to be a long-time scrapper to join, newbies are always welcome.

Blessings,

Floral Beauty Re-Share PLUS Preview of New Kit

Wow, where is time going these days?!?  It's been eleven days since I last posted!  Time is just flying on by.

Firstly, I want to say I am overwhelmed by the number of fantastic comments I have received for, "Bugs in My Garden," both here and on Dropbox.  It is the most comments I have ever received for a single kit.  I thank you profusely!  You make this girl a very happy one!

Then, I am re-releasing an old kit entitled "Floral Beauty."  It is one of the first kits I made and features my own photography.  It was PTU, but is now being released as a freebie!  Hooray!  It's not very fancy and is pretty basic, but I hope you find it useful.  It was actually the first kit I sold and it did pretty well.  There are also two quick pages that are included and are in the paper zip.  Here's the previews:

Here's layouts Patti, a member of the Flight Crew, made with Garden Club pictures when the kit was first released:

Now...on to Pixel Scrapper business.  I have finished my September PS Blog Train Kit, which is entitled "Bohemian Breeze."  I just can't wait to share it with you, but for now the previews will have to do!  I really enjoyed this one; it has some more complicated paper patterns, lots of bling and gold, and all the usual types of elements I create for my kits.  It will be available September 1st, which, as noted above, will be here before we know it!  LOL  Take a look:

I hope this gets you excited for September 1st!  Wait until you see all the beautiful offerings the other designers have made for the blog train.  It is going to be a spectacular one!

And now a combo preview of Floral Beauty for the freebie bot which always takes the last picture posted.

I'm really happy...

...that so many of you have left me such nice comments about Bugs in My Garden, both here and at Dropbox!  It really makes me feel like what I'm doing is worth the effort and the physical pain I feel when I'm sitting at the computer designing.  I'm just so glad you like this kit because I truly enjoyed making it.  Patti from The Flight Crew just keeps on scrapping her garden club pictures and home garden pictures with the kit!  Here's a couple new layouts:

In the second one, she put in all the pink flowers in the picture and the bench from the kit.  She just has the perfect pictures to scrap with this one!  Thanks Patti!

I'm busy working on September's Pixel Scrapper blog train kit already!  I just love the theme (Bohemian Breeze) and the colors are fab.  Usually I work on my own kit first each month and then on the blog train kit later in the month.  I'm thinking of doing a Victorian Children's Kit this month, maybe school-related, but haven't decided for sure.

Here's the color scheme of the blog train kit for September and a preview of my first two papers:

Don't forget you can click on the pictures to get a larger view.  I'd love to know what you think of them.  I haven't textured them or anything yet, just made the patterns using layered templates from KimB's CU Patterns & Prints Damask #9 kit.  She has long been my favorite designer and I was so happy to find that she was still at it when I started designing again this year!  So many others I really liked have quit or retired.

I am going to be re-releasing another older kit, probably over the weekend or beginning of next week.  It's called Floral Beauty and is made from photographs I took of flowers.   I thought it would be a good time to do it since flowers are in full bloom now!  Make sure you check back!

Hope you're having a great week and are well!

Also included is a CU Bonus!  The layouts I created for the bug, dragonfly, and butterfly papers, which I made using public domain vintage images, as well as the vellum overlay with brads I created for some of the papers, are included.  Here's that preview:

Here are some great layouts from my creative team, The Flight Crew!  BTW, if you would like to join Patti and Chitra, email me at wingedheartohio@gmail.com and put "The Flight Crew" in the subject.

Sorry I've been...

absent since I posted Steampunk Gears-Up.  There's been a steady stream of doctor's appointments and I didn't get a very good report from my cardiologist last week.  Until they put a stent in my heart this past January, I didn't have severe blood pressure issues, but now I do.  He added a THIRD pill for BP control a few months ago and has increased the dosages of the first two I've been on since my open heart surgery about ten years ago.  However, my blood pressure was still high in the office, and I've been having chest pain every day.  Scary stuff!  He gave me a new pill for the pain that is like Nitroglycerine but is time-released, and also increased the dosage of the third pill.  I was told if my BP was still high when I see him again the 27th of August, he is going to admit me pronto and look inside my heart again.  Boo Hoo!  That's the last thing I want to have happen and he's giving the newest pill the chance to work with the increased dosage because he doesn't want to go in again.  He said it causes scar tissue each time that causes its own problems.  It never seems to end.

On a brighter note, I've finished my Pixel Scrapper August Blog Train kit.  It's called "Bugs in My Garden."  I still have to make the previews, but everything else is uploading at this very minute!  Like most every kit I do, it's pretty big and is full of all kinds of bugs (including dragonflies and butterflies), birds, flowers, garden tools, etc.  Most of the creatures are from vintage images that I had; I extracted and did other work on them.  There are 50 papers!  I made printed backgrounds using the extracted images that I think are really cool...if I say so myself!!  There are also filled alphas with the images, plus colored ones in all eight colors of the blog train.

Don't forget to come back on the 1st...only a couple days away.  I can't wait for you to see "Bugs in My Garden," and hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed making it.

Hope all of you are well and are having great summers...or winters depending on where you live!  LOL

Blessings, as always,
Sally

Steampunk Gears-Up is here!  It is over a gigabyte full of metal, gears, and much more!  There is everything you would expect in a steampunk kit...plus some things you probably won't expect.  Many thanks to my Flight Crew member, Patti, for coming up with the clever name.  I really like the way this one turned out and I hope you will also.  Here are the previews:
