Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to thank me for my freebies and blog train kits; on this blog, on Dropbox and on the Pixel Scrapper site.
However, I must single out one person who has made my day! JULIA, thank you for your sweet comment on my "Whoops" post. I'm going to print it out and keep it to look at when I feel the need! Sometimes, I am way too hard on myself and I have that perfectionist thing going on. It serves me well when designing (in my opinion, LOL) but it can definitely be a hindrance when it comes to believing what I do is worth anyone's time. I've been in a real funk the last few days and feeling crappy physically. You'll never know just how much your comment has uplifted my spirits. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. People like you are the reason I continue to make and offer freebies...and always will.
With gratitude,
Sally

Good Friday to everyone. Thought I'd re-share a couple of old papers I made from photographs I took when visiting Berlin Lake in Ohio quite a few years ago. They were originally shared as a PU Freebie, but are being re-shared as a CU Freebie! Thought they kind of went along with the theme of Pixel Scrapper's July Blog Train entitled "Summer Splash." You can see my previews in the post below. You won't believe some of the amazing shares for this blog train made by Pixel Scrappers! You won't want to miss it!
Here's the preview of the Berlin Lake papers:

Victorian Father's Day Layouts
Here's a couple layouts I made using "Victorian Father's Day." The images are my stepfather (who passed away in March), my Mama and me. I finally have been able to put some of my feelings about Mel and his influence on me to pen by writing him a letter.
Here's the layouts:
Thanks for looking. I'd love to see your layouts that you make with my kits. If you post them in a gallery, let me know and I'll go and give you heaps of praise!
Blessings,
Sally

Layout Shares!
Good Monday evening! I actually made a couple layouts in the middle of the night last night! I'm still not feeling or sleeping very good, so I was up all night and slept all day...LOL. Of course, this isn't that unusual for me! Thought I'd share the layouts with all of you to prove that I actually DO scrapbook and not just design!!!
The first is of my youngest great-nephew, Frankie. He's such a doll. The pictures are from a couple months ago. He has a very full head of hair and big and bright blue eyes. I used designs from Pixel Scrapper's "Oh, Baby Baby" mega collab bundle. The background, hanging monkey, sock monkey I put on the frame, and the frame itself (re-colored) are from Sheila Reid; the alpha and buttons are from Melo Vrijhof; and the pin and monkey cluster is from Elif Sahin. Here it is:
Next, I did a layout using my own "Eileen B." kit with pictures of the one and only, original Eileen B. You may download the freebie kit if you scroll down a couple posts.
Hope you enjoyed this glimpse into my world...and don't forget you may click on the images for a better view.
Blessings,
Sally

Oh my, I am so red-faced and horrified!
Elements 1 thru 14 were missing from the elements01 zip file of "To Be or Not to Be!" It has now been corrected but if you downloaded my kit before June 6th, you will have to re-download Elements01.
Huge thanks to Jan at Pixel Scrapper for letting me know.

Eileen B reappears...
Well, I can't sleep so I thought I'd do something I planned on doing a few days ago but my health issues postponed...
To celebrate what would have been my stepmother's 92nd birthday (May 30th), I am re-releasing "Eileen B," the freebie kit I made in her honor. Blue was her favorite color and the kit is full of it! It also includes a full alpha. There were several quick pages given as freebies and a paid-for quick page album, however, I'm now giving the album as a freebie also! Here's the previews (don't forget to click on them for a better look):
This is a thank you note I created from the kit that was sent out after her funeral. The service picture is from when Eileen was in the Coast Guard. I do really miss her so!

Three things...and please pray for me!
Hi everyone. Three things:
Firstly, I have been receiving some very sweet comments here and on Dropbox about "To Be or Not to Be," and I really appreciate them. I'm always so happy to hear from all of you.
Secondly, to GERDINA and LYNN, I would appreciate it if you would please email me at wingedheartohio@gmail.com. Blogger doesn't give me your email addresses so I can't personally respond to you.
Lastly, please send me some positive vibes and prayers, if you are so inclined. I spent all day (and I do mean ALL day) in the emergency room Thursday. I have been feeling poorly, running fevers, feeling weak, etc. I stumbled and fell into the wall early in the morning on Wednesday but just thought it was my usual back issues at fault. However, as the day progressed, I was in so much pain on my right side and around my back that I couldn't even sit up straight. It was so bad I couldn't sleep at all Wednesday night and, by Thursday morning, the pain became so severe that I pushed my alert button and called for help. When the ambulance arrived, I was in tears and my blood pressure was sky high. The guys were so great...and really concerned. They started an IV and gave me morphine before we even left for the hospital.
Once there, they did every test known to man! Urinalysis showed I had a bladder infection, which wasn't surprising as I've had one for the better part of three-and-a-half years. My blood work was off showing the infection and lab work showed my kidney function was lower than it usually is (which is always lower than normal), but still good enough to have contrast for CT scans. They did CT scans of my chest and abdomen and ultrasound of my left leg (it was swollen, as is usual), to rule out blood clots, kidney stones, etc.
The good news is that there is no recurrence of the kidney cancer I had previously on the right and had part of that kidney removed. Bad news is that I have pyelonephritis, which is severe bacterial infection in the kidneys, probably migrating up from the bladder. It causes swelling of the kidney and, if not caught and treated in a timely way, can cause abscesses and worse issues. As would be expected, the remaining right kidney is affected more than the left. They gave me a massive dose of antibiotics through the IV, and more to take for a week at home. Now, this is risky for me as I've had c.Difficile infections in my colon three times; the first time it was very severe and I literally almost died. Taking strong antibiotics can trigger this infection again as it kills off the good bacteria which keeps the c.Difficile that is always present in check. This is why I need your prayers and good thoughts...it would be extremely threatening if I were to get this colon infection again and, I have to admit, I am frightened. When I hesitated about taking the antibiotics, the doctor explained it was absolutely necessary to treat the pyelonephritis, that there was no choice. He said I would be risking my life if I didn't and, at the least, it could damage my kidneys permanently leaving me dependent on dialysis. So I am taking them. I have been ordered to rest, monitor my temperature and, no surprise, drink lots of water.
Sorry this post has been so long, but I really need to know that you are all thinking of me and holding me up. I am so very tired of being in poor health in general, and of not having a normal functioning immune system. It really sucks. I am grateful for every day I have and I know I will continue to fight to stay here with all of you, and especially to see my great-nephews and great-nieces grow up.
Thank you for being part of my life.
Blessings to you and for YOUR health,
Sally

To Be or Not to Be...
Elements 1 thru 14 were missing from the elements01 zip file. This has now been corrected but if you downloaded my kit before June 6th, you will have to re-download Elements01.
Well, Shakespeare is alive and well at WingedHeartOhio!!! Here's my offering for Pixel Scrapper's June 2015 Blog Train. The theme is England and my interpretation involves the Bard of Avon, his plays, sonnets, and his heroines! In addition to the expected ephemera, I've included famous quotations from his plays and also word art featuring common phrases that have their origins in Shakespeare. Also included are ten of my favorite sonnets. Creating this kit brought back many fond memories of my senior year in high school when I first studied Shakespeare and experienced my first professional play...The Tempest. During my college days, my major was English with a minor in creative writing and Shakespeare classes were definitely some of my favorites. I developed a great appreciation of his work.
Even if you're not into Shakespeare, I hope there is enough vintage-inspired material and common types of elements for you to enjoy scrapping with.
