I hear music!!!!

Well, I finally hear the music around these parts!!!  I've finished "The Music of My Life" base kit at long last.  There's a bit of everything:  some more modern, some more vintage, hopefully something for everyone.  It's a huge one!  I'm almost finished with the first era/genre add-on kit...classical.  However, that will have to wait until I create my contribution to Pixel Scrapper's November blog train, Thankful Harvest.  I'm going back to my Victorian roots for that one.  The color palette is a real beauty.  Check it out:

I'd give you a preview, but first I have to design something!  Funny how that works.  LOL

BTW, on the TOU's for the music kit, you can see a REALLY old picture of me from my Freshman year of high school (1966-67).  I played violin in the orchestra.  Don't laugh now, we all get old sooner or later if we're lucky!  It's a scan of a partial paper-scrapped page that is part of an entire album I made about my high school, my family who also went there, the famous alumni, and President William McKinley who the school is named after.  You'll have to enlarge it to see it very well.  Oh, what the heck...here it is:

Okay, here are the previews for "The Music of My Life" base kit:

Here are some layouts for inspiration from my Flight Crew Member, Patti.  Her Aunt Lucille celebrated her 95th birthday last weekend!

Lucille likes to talk about how she still exercises and can put her foot up by her head.  I Photoshopped a special picture for Patti to give her that is a hoot, if I say so myself. Take a look:

Patti said everyone got a "real kick" out of it!  Pun intended...ROFLMBO.

And now, without further ado, here are the links you've been waiting for:

Do You Feel the Breeze?

Time for Bohemian Breeze to make it's debut.  That's the theme of this month's Pixel Scrapper Blog Train and I am very happy to release my portion.  As always, it's not little! LOL  However, it's not quite as big as some I've done because the complicated designs of many of the papers took me quite a while to do.  Boy, was it fun!  The ones created using vectors I have had for a long while were really interesting to do.  I have to say I think I created my favorite paper EVER using KimB's lovely lady overlay from her Vintage Overlays 1 pack.  That's how long I've been waiting for just the perfect kit to use it in...her #1 vintage overlay pack!!!  She's had MANY fabulous overlay packs since then. What would I ever do with out her CU products?  I've been using them since I first started designing way back when, and I'm a huge fan of her PU kits too.  Also, I had a great time brushing up (pun intended) on my brush skills to paint it just how I wanted it. Here's a large preview of the paper:

Here's all the other previews (click on them for a larger view):

My Flight Crew made some creative inspiration for you to see.  Patti used this kit, unexpectedly to me, for scrapping some old wedding pictures of old friends.  I'm surprised how well they fit!  Chitra did her usual creative layouts.

I'm really happy...

...that so many of you have left me such nice comments about Bugs in My Garden, both here and at Dropbox!  It really makes me feel like what I'm doing is worth the effort and the physical pain I feel when I'm sitting at the computer designing.  I'm just so glad you like this kit because I truly enjoyed making it.  Patti from The Flight Crew just keeps on scrapping her garden club pictures and home garden pictures with the kit!  Here's a couple new layouts:

In the second one, she put in all the pink flowers in the picture and the bench from the kit.  She just has the perfect pictures to scrap with this one!  Thanks Patti!

I'm busy working on September's Pixel Scrapper blog train kit already!  I just love the theme (Bohemian Breeze) and the colors are fab.  Usually I work on my own kit first each month and then on the blog train kit later in the month.  I'm thinking of doing a Victorian Children's Kit this month, maybe school-related, but haven't decided for sure.

Here's the color scheme of the blog train kit for September and a preview of my first two papers:

Don't forget you can click on the pictures to get a larger view.  I'd love to know what you think of them.  I haven't textured them or anything yet, just made the patterns using layered templates from KimB's CU Patterns & Prints Damask #9 kit.  She has long been my favorite designer and I was so happy to find that she was still at it when I started designing again this year!  So many others I really liked have quit or retired.

I am going to be re-releasing another older kit, probably over the weekend or beginning of next week.  It's called Floral Beauty and is made from photographs I took of flowers.   I thought it would be a good time to do it since flowers are in full bloom now!  Make sure you check back!

Hope you're having a great week and are well!

Steampunk Gears-Up Freebie Kit

Steampunk Gears-Up is here!  It is over a gigabyte full of metal, gears, and much more!  There is everything you would expect in a steampunk kit...plus some things you probably won't expect.  Many thanks to my Flight Crew member, Patti, for coming up with the clever name.  I really like the way this one turned out and I hope you will also.  Here are the previews:

And here are layouts using the kit from my creative team.  From Patti (go to her blog to read the history behind them):
