Whoa! There's Bugs in My Garden!!

Well, there would be if I HAD a garden, or a yard, or a patio, or -- heck -- even a balcony!  LOL  It's blog train time again at Pixel Scrapper and here's the previews to my portion, which is entitled "Bugs in My Garden," in case you haven't figured that out!  Click on the link to grab everyone else's fantastic offerings...after you download mine, of course!

p.s. There's a CU bonus!

Also included is a CU Bonus!  The layouts I created for the bug, dragonfly, and butterfly papers, which I made using public domain vintage images, as well as the vellum overlay with brads I created for some of the papers, are included.  Here's that preview:

Here are some great layouts from my creative team, The Flight Crew!  BTW, if you would like to join Patti and Chitra, email me at wingedheartohio@gmail.com and put "The Flight Crew" in the subject.

Sorry I've been...

absent since I posted Steampunk Gears-Up.  There's been a steady stream of doctor's appointments and I didn't get a very good report from my cardiologist last week.  Until they put a stent in my heart this past January, I didn't have severe blood pressure issues, but now I do.  He added a THIRD pill for BP control a few months ago and has increased the dosages of the first two I've been on since my open heart surgery about ten years ago.  However, my blood pressure was still high in the office, and I've been having chest pain every day.  Scary stuff!  He gave me a new pill for the pain that is like Nitroglycerine but is time-released, and also increased the dosage of the third pill.  I was told if my BP was still high when I see him again the 27th of August, he is going to admit me pronto and look inside my heart again.  Boo Hoo!  That's the last thing I want to have happen and he's giving the newest pill the chance to work with the increased dosage because he doesn't want to go in again.  He said it causes scar tissue each time that causes its own problems.  It never seems to end.

On a brighter note, I've finished my Pixel Scrapper August Blog Train kit.  It's called "Bugs in My Garden."  I still have to make the previews, but everything else is uploading at this very minute!  Like most every kit I do, it's pretty big and is full of all kinds of bugs (including dragonflies and butterflies), birds, flowers, garden tools, etc.  Most of the creatures are from vintage images that I had; I extracted and did other work on them.  There are 50 papers!  I made printed backgrounds using the extracted images that I think are really cool...if I say so myself!!  There are also filled alphas with the images, plus colored ones in all eight colors of the blog train.

Don't forget to come back on the 1st...only a couple days away.  I can't wait for you to see "Bugs in My Garden," and hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed making it.

Hope all of you are well and are having great summers...or winters depending on where you live!  LOL

Blessings, as always,

Steampunk Gears-Up Freebie Kit

Steampunk Gears-Up is here!  It is over a gigabyte full of metal, gears, and much more!  There is everything you would expect in a steampunk kit...plus some things you probably won't expect.  Many thanks to my Flight Crew member, Patti, for coming up with the clever name.  I really like the way this one turned out and I hope you will also.  Here are the previews:

Thought you all might like to see some elements and papers as a preview of "Steampunk Gears-Up."  It's a bit over 1 GB full of metal, grunge, clocks, gears, etc.  All the stuff you'd expect in a steampunk kit, plus some you might not!  Don't forget you may click on the images to get a closer look.

Here's the color theme:

There are 11 page alphas!  Three colors of this grungy metal, and a shiny metallic one in all eight colors!

Here's a border made of gear elements; there are also gold and silver metal borders, and these gears in all eight colors!

These are great CU dolls and posers made by Karen's Scraps and Graphics.  I've recolored some of them.  There are four dolls, three female characters, and three of the fairies.  There are also other characters besides the three styles made by KSG.

There's an abundance of clocks, gears, clusters and other fun elements.  Of course, I had to make some with wings!

And here are samples of three different papers.  There's a total of 45 papers!

Well, I hope this gets you excited for steampunk!  Check back the end of the week to grab all the goodies!

Blessings,

New CT Layouts & QP Freebies

Hi everyone.  Hope you all had a great and SAFE July 4th!  Chitra has made some beautiful layout shares using my "The Victorian Seaside" and "Victorian Father's Day" kits.  Please note that she didn't know not to make elements out of my papers that aren't in the kit (my fault)...so the arrows you see are not a part of the kit. The layouts were so cool, though, that I wanted to share them anyway.  Thanks so much, Chitra.  You are so creative that I know you are going to be a great asset on The Flight Crew!  Take a gander and then grab the Father's Day quick pages she also made just for you:

Chitra also made two fantastic quick pages for you using "Victorian Father's Day."  Leave her a note of thanks, please!

Hope you enjoy!  I've finished "Steampunk Gears-Up" except for the previews and the terms of use, so make sure you check back the end of the week.  It's a little over a GB so it's truly a mega kit!  I'm in love with it, if I say so myself!  LOL  Now it's time to start on Pixel Scrapper's August blog train, the theme of which is "A Bug's World."  I'm going a little "buggy" over trying to decide what to design, but I know I'll come up with something!

Blessings,

Victorian 4th of July QP Album Freebie

A day late (and a dollar short, as the saying goes)!  The story of my life!   LOL  Here's a 12-page Victorian Quick Page Album I made for you.  They are 12" x 12", 300 dpi and are for personal use only.  Also included is a bonus commercial use seamless tile I created from one of the Victorian images I used.  I'd love it if you'd leave a comment to let me know if you like this freebie!

Here's the preview (click on it for a better view):

And here's a couple samples I made.  The balloon eagle and cake are pictures from the Football Hall of Fame parade a few years ago, and the second layout is of my sister when she was in the National Guard way back in 1976 or 1977.
