Want to join The Flight Crew?

Since I'm actively designing again, I was wondering if any of you would be interested in joining Patricia on my creative team, The Flight Crew.  I had a great bunch of gals before I took so many years off from designing, and I know Patricia would appreciate having someone else to help her make layouts for me. She's a wonderful person and fun to work with.

The requirements are simple...just make me a couple layouts with each of my new kits and re-shares of old kits.  Also, quick pages to share would be great. Since many of my kits will be vintage/Victorian, an appreciation of this style is preferable.  In the future, I plan on once again starting to sell a few of my new creations, as well as add-on's to older kits and freebies, in order to support my purchasing new CU products to design with.  I have quite a bit, but most of what I have is six to eight years old and styles have changed since then.  If you are on the Flight Crew, anything I would offer to sell would be yours free to work with. In addition, when I am prepared ahead of time, you would receive my creations before they are shared, with the exception of Pixel Scrapper Blog Train offerings.

Scrappers of any experience level are welcome, including newbies.  I had a great experience working with those just learning to digitally scrap in the past, and it would be fun to do it again.  That said, more experienced scrappers are certainly welcome!  You may leave a comment on this post, or contact me at this email address if you are interested: wingedheartohio@gmail.com.  Please put "The Flight Crew" as your message heading.  If you have an online gallery, please include a link for me to see your work.

Hope to hear from YOU!

Layout Shares From My Creative Team Member

Hi everyone.  I want to share some layouts using my "MirrorReflections" kit, which have been created by Patricia. She is not only the only remaining member of my previous Creative Team (The Flight Crew), but is my very fantastic friend.  I really appreciate all her encouragement and support.

Here's my favorite of her layouts:

She says, "It is of my mother, my two older brothers, and myself taken in the 1940's. (Pat's the toddler in the middle of the picture on the right.)  You can read on her blog an inspirational story about her brother that is shown in the bottom picture; he was born with orthopedic deformities and had many years of surgery.  The picture is him in a homemade cart created for him to use to get around.

She calls this next pretty layout, "Reflections of Me," and she says, "I created a layout about myself starting in the upper left side at age sixteen and going through my high school years."  The picture on the bottom left is a current picture.

Thanks, my friend, for using my kit and for sharing these with everyone.  I look forward to seeing more layouts!  Please visit her blog here:  Patti-Whack Scraps

Thanks for your thanks...

Good evening everyone!  I wanted to stop by for a quick comment to thank everyone who has left me emails and comments regarding my "Ye Olde Dress Shoppe" kit.  I really appreciate your kind words and thank-yous.  They encourage me to keep on going and keep designing!  As I've said in the past, what good would it be for me to do the designing if no one wanted what I create?!?  I appreciate each and every one of you who take the time to comment (and even those of you who don't).

Also, send me some good thoughts, will 'ya?  I'm struggling a bit health-wise again with back and chest pain, as well as having nosebleeds from taking the blood thinners I have to take since having a stent put in my right coronary artery back in January.  It's hard not to let the depression overtake me when I'm in so much pain, but designing again really has helped me by allowing me to be creative and by giving me a purpose.  It's rough on the back and on my right hand (which I had surgery on a few years ago), but worth it to my spirit!

Well, off to continue working on my Shakespeare kit for Pixel Scrapper's June blog train which has a theme of "London."  See you on the 1st!

Blessings once again,
Sally

Introducing "Ye Olde Dress Shoppe" Mega Freebie

Well, I finally finished this huge MEGA freebie kit!!!  I really couldn't stop myself this time.  There's everything you would expect to find in a woman's clothing store! It is 1.45GB of: Victorian women in their finery; vintage ads for apparel, corsets, shoes, sewing-related items, etc.; tons of clothing and accessories; sewing machines, thread and other sewing-themed items; lace borders, frames and papers; ruffles; fabric-inspired papers, mats, frames and tags; gorgeous vintage jewelry; fun fabric flowers; stitched mats and a line of stitches; ornaments; and so much more! There are 60 papers and 488 individual elements! It is certainly the largest kit I have ever made...and ever hope to make!  LOL

Here are the many previews (Don't forget to click on them for a better view):

Phew...that's a whole lot of previews!  Here are the download links:

I hope you find this kit useful and worth the download time it took to snag it.  Making it was a lot of work, but it was also a labor of love.  While I am enjoying dabbling in other genres, Vintage and Victorian will always be my favorite.  I would enjoy hearing from you.  Also please check out the poll to the right regarding what kind of kits you are most interested in.

Well, now I'm going to get working on June's Pixel Scrapper Blog Train Kit.  The theme is England and I'm doing a Shakespeare and Edwardian-themed kit.  It will be a WHOLE LOT smaller than Ye Olde Dress Shoppe!  I'm also working on a Victorian Father's Day Kit to go along with my Victorian Mother's Day Kit which you can still grab if you scroll down a bit.

Happy scrapping and, as always, blessings to you and yours.

My Part of May PS Blog Train Delay

Sorry everyone, my portion of Pixel Scrapper's May blog train is going to be a couple days late, probably Monday, although I'm hoping for tomorrow.  I've been having computer issues.  For some reason, my computer is acting up when I copy and paste.  I can copy fine, but it gives me an error message when I try to paste telling me it can't access the clipboard.  I re-installed Paint Shop Pro and that helped for a short time, then it acted up again.  I have to keep re-starting my computer.  The kit is done but I have to make previews and then upload before I can share.  Thanks for your patience and I hope it will be worth your wait.  I'm really pleased with it and it's definitely my favorite non-Victorian thing I've ever created!  "See" you tomorrow or Monday.

Blessings,
Sally
